Dave ... Sorry to hear your having water problems, most are having water in the Basement because of the big snow fall and ground not taking it fast enough,
IF you call your City water department, I'm sure they won't like you taping into the sewer for ground water, but you can do it and not tell them, that way Problem solved.
you can divert the water into any old well, but not sure that would work for you, cause it has to go some place fast...
