You can use the 16 inch rims. Lots of new autos come with 16inch. Sizes 205/55Rx16 will work. Some of the wider 16 inch may cause a inside clearance problem and be difficult to mount on the narrow wheels.I guess you could put your wheels on backward so the offset throws the width to the outside. This is my tire educated opinion after 40 yr around Tuckertire.
