I just unstuck a PTO shaft with my two ton forklift. I took out the grease fittings on the U-joints and slipped nylon slings through each end. One sling was attached to a fork and the other on the bottom of the mast. I thought I was going to shread the slings but it did pop loose without any damage to anything. It bound up because the inner solid shaft had a slight camber. I whacked it with a 10 pound hammer and everything now slides good.
