I have been reading a few post c0ncerning the ford8n tractor.My dad owened one (used) when I was too young to know much about the mechanics of one.It was hard to start in cold weather,but in those times no one converted to 12 volt bat/ andgenerator(before alternators).We used it for cultivating cutting ditches with a blade ,leveling,and anything it had hp to do.One of the drawbacks was lack of live pto which was common in those times.My experince with a bushog conferms that it is dangerous,especialy in a confined area.Pushing the clutch in ,does not let you stop,and bushog will push you into fences ditches,or into anything that gets in your way.Using a over runing coupler makes a big difference,and could save a life.I am saying this to help inform anyone thinking about bying one to keep that in mind.anyone have bad experince with the 8n
