Just put a single wire alternator on it and a ballast resistor before the coil (or a 12v coil). If you have a working headlights you'll have to change those to 12v as well or theyll pop first time you turn them on. The starter should be ok with 12v, ours is. I think when ours was converted they bypassed the ammeter cause it never shows anything, but battery is always up....OCG
