Magnetic lines of force are no different than the force of a post holding a roof up. If it doesn't move it doesn't perform work or have power. PM motors #1 don't waste electricity making magnetic lines of force by pushing electricity through windings. #2 PM motors have a shorter current path which lowers the internal resistance. Less resistance = more current which equals more power if the voltage stays the same.
