If the 4600 is an SU model then the switch would be just about a direct bolt up. Might have to change the rear brackets under the axles - drill different holes to accomodate the wider axle on the 4600. But keep in mind that a 4600SU doesn't have a very heavy front end - it's more like a 3000/3600. If it were me I would look at switching the entire front end ie bolster, axle, radius rods tie rods, cast iron pan etc. from the 34 to the 46. Would be a nice combo. Plenty of power plus a good stout front axle for loader work. I know a fellow in LA did that (Larry D) He likes it a lot.
