The Wall St Journal had an article on that a few years back. That was about the time that the Labor department or some other agency announced that farming had become the single most dangerous job in the US. You might search the Journal's archieves or get someone to do it for you. It turned out that pork producers were at the most risk, if they grew the food for animals. That was because not only were they exposed to the machinery and chemical hazards that crop farmers face, they also were exposed to electrical wiring and animal diseases. We are moving to a future in which machinery will do most of the work in food production. Maybe that won't be such a bad thing, provided you wear a gas mask when the sprayers go bay and provided the autonomously guided tractors and combines don't squish you by mistake.
