It has been my experience that this happens as a result of the bill hook being to tight or the clearance between the stripper and hook being to much. I have heard that that stripper can be bent to take up the clearance. I have not tried this since it appears to be a cast part. Instead I replace the bill hook and/or the stripper. Also a easy fix is to use a thicker twine.
