15-40 is the most common oil for a diesel. You change it just like a car or truck. The filler is right under the injection pump. If it has a cartridge oil filter, make sure to change the o-ring that comes with it and don't tighten it too much as the rubber can split. Also make sure there is a spring in the bottom of the filter. You can also get an adaptor to change a cartridge filter to a spin on. Not much to it. You'll also have to change fuel filters at least once a year but that's a little more advanced as the system has to have the air bled out before the tractor will run. Dave
