Hope things go well for Uncle in assisted living- nost important part is a positive attitude. My dad and his wife were in one for a couple years before he died, and they liked it fine (stepmother is still there- 91 years old, can't remember what she had for breakfast, but can still carry on a good conversation, so long as you stick with stuff that happened 30 or more years ago).
