I used to be the maint. supervisor at a small place several years ago. I set up a dumpster contract with a large hauler. This person told me that the drivers make $22/hour and up, they start their route at 3am and are home by 2pm in the afternoon, This is the guys that empty dumpsters only. For the guys that hang on the back of a truck and throw the &hit in the back should make $15/hour and the drivers should make $20/hour. Times are tough and I would easily take the drivers job if I was out of work.
