The late gasser 1010's were better. You are however looking at Deere's attempt to built a Farmall. Deere's part support is pretty skimpy on these 1010/2010 models they wish to forget. The 1010's components which are common with the 420/430 two cylinders are stocked well enough. I would hold out for a Dubuque or Mannheim built utility tractor from the 20,30,40,50 or 55 series. Better yet take the $4000.00 or what ever and use it for a down payment on an economy version of the 4000 series models in M4WD. "Shift on the go"? Do you mean a reverser or a 5 speed dash shifter?
