My experience with weather is much different - analog help up well except for lightening storms. The digital goes away with even a light fog.
TV used to come in on 3 different areas of the spectrum. The govt sold off the area that used to be channels 2 through 6. The rest of the channels can remain, and are all the same antennea & so on as they used to be. The difference is the data on that signal. The old TV tuners won't understand it. Sort of like getting French now, instead of English. The best TV channel I get in digital is temp broadcasting on channel 30, a UHF. It will revert to channel 11 whenever we go fulltime digital - so I don't know if I will get it or not, as it's a whole different frequency. Sigh.
I thought the govt got into the billions of dollars for the licence fee?
