It's powered by a Briggs 16 (?) hp engine. that's about all I know about the thing. I was thinking about getting it for myself for much the same reasons. Anyone know more? : :A cub would be a nice tractor for you, if you would like a older cub look for a 149 or a 1450 you can attachments like a tiller,snow blower,and mowing decks from 40" to 50". these garden tractors have a 14 hp kohler and are ease to service and parts are avalilable. stay away from anything with a briggs&stratton engine
