Year or so ago our neighbor came across some turkey litter somebody needed to get rid of. Long story, but the pile had also been used for disposal of birds (many birds). Some if it he spread next to our place. Talk about a mess, every carion eating critter known to me came out of the woodwork after that. I have about 600 feet of board fence that adjoins this field and every 8 foot section had 2-3 buzzards sitting on it waiting their turn at the feast. There is a four sided cell tower about 1/2 a mile down the road and it looked like a solid monolith of some sort due to all the birds sitting it.
All lasted 2-3 days, then it was over, but that was about the worst since we could not really get away from it.
