Does any one know of a good website to go for troubleshooting/discussion forum on ford trucks?
Here's the problem I'm having maybe some of you have had the same thing happen to you!
My 1990 F150, 300 cid 6 cyl w/5 speed idles and runs great while it's warming up on cold mornings. But when I get 2-10 miles from home it just quits.
I have found when it quits there is no spark to the spark plugs nor does the electric fuel pump work. Normally the fuel pump always turns on for a second or two when the key is first turned on but doesn't when it the engine quits and leaves me stranded and won't start. The engine cranks fine. After it sits for 5-20 minutes it will start right up.
I have replaced;
1. Fuel pump relay
2. Elect ign switch on steering column under dash.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated, I'm getting tired of being stranded.
