I consider the H to be 30hp. The M at 40hp. If you really wanted to know exactly what yours put out, you could always have it dyno tested. Then there is always fire crater/high compression pistons that give a little boost in power. It is a common thing for people to install those in the tractor during rebuilds. As an owner of an H with high compression pistons in it, I got to say I love them.
