Folks like to say that the "majority" elected the pres. But if you think about it, with about a 60-65% turn out of voters and their guy winning, say 55%+ like osama did, only about very roughly 40% of the population are actually "for" him. Then there is the segment of society that voted for him because of his color regardless of his lack of qualifications, (google rapper Jay-z video for a real eye opener). And if you look further, you will see that the largest numbers of voters for the pres are the inner cities. So most of rural America did not vote for him.
