Back windows on skid steers use plexiglaas/lexan as an emergency exit. There are 2 kinds of safety glass. One, like an automobile windshield is laminated glass with a sheet of plastic in the middle that holds everything together. Car windows will use tempered safety glass.It will break into a million pieces. Lots of people use plastic windows on equipment. When using a concrete breaker on a skid steer, they recommend a cab with a plastic window. Plastic will scratch a lot easier but you shouldn't have any problems using it. Look for a type that is guaranteed to not yellow for 5 or 10 years. Dave
