Sounds like either the solenoid or start button, try tapping the solenoid while the start button is pushed in, if that doesnt work try jumping across the posts of the button, a test light would be handy to troubleshoot this problem. but if you dont have one you can just use a jumper wire from the + side of the bat to the small post on the solenoid if that starts it then you got a bad button /keyswitch if not youve got a bad solenoid.
