Hi Guys: Yes we are going the south route. A few yrs ago we bought a Dodge Diesel in SF. We drove up to Reno for a side trip. Brother in law has lived out there for 45yrs, so he knows his way around. He asked if we wanted to see some REAL snow.....Ok we said.....Truckee was unreal.. Donner Pass buildings were covered!! So we will go to Needles Ca. and Death Valley way. Going to Lompoc Ca, 150miles north of LA. and Redwood City, 30m south of SF. Thanks for the replys Bobmn
