The people I work with had an 02 Duramax and the one time I checked the mileage it did 18 mpg running empty doing 65 on the interstate. When they got rid of it at 260000 miles water was getting away somewhere but they couldn't find where it was going. Maybe it was the head gasket. I do know they got it hot once. Jim
