Bob, get the biggest, heaviest tractor you can. Power is not the problem. Traction is. My 8N popped out of gear on me coming downhill with an empty haywagon--it took off like a rocket. Brakes are good enough to lock up rear wheels on rock road and the wagon pushes the tractor downhill will no effort. Same thing happened in St.Louis last fall with a hayride at a facility that specialized in those trips. We lost one girl scout with several others badly injured when the machine popped out of gear going downhill. Young man managed to miss all the trees on the hill but dumped a lot of people off. Sad but true.
