Hey, people have had 2-3yrs to prepare for the switch. If they haven't bought a new TV or a $40 converter box by now, maybe they should take up reading books. It would probably be better for the country anyway.
The government shouldn't have had a coupon plan for the converter box in the first place. In the "old days" if a change like this happened, everyone took responsibility for themselves and nobody complained.
