Need help disassembling PTO CV joint

I am attempting to revive a PTO drivetrain that was lying out in the weather for a few decades. After soaking, I have gotten everything broken free so it all spins smoothly. I have pumped grease in, and gotten it to creep out of the seals on one of the CV joints but not on the other. My question is- how do you take apart a CV/universal joint? One of them has circlips on the outside, but I removed the clips and nothing seems free. The other has no apprarent clips anywhere, but it is pretty rusty, so there may be a clip hidden in the rust. These are not really that far gone, but would like to take apart and inspect and clean. So- in general, how do these things come aprart??
