Thanks for the information last night. Although I was to sick to go and make the test myself. I explained to him over the phone what to do. Sure enough it was the amiture in the tractor starter that was bad. My truck battrie gave up the ghost this morning from the cold. Knew it was a bit weak and it showed me how bad it was. Even with the battery charger on it for sometime. It just verly started after sometime. So off wife and I went to buy a new battery. Was kind of costly for this old truck. Almost 100.00 for it cause it's some special big type battried. But truck starts good now. Talked to the other friend of mine on his Ford 601 tractor today to. He at this time is not going to do anything to fix it till spring or summer. Anyway thanks for the info. *S
