A trick my foster father / father in law taught us
when we were kids learning to operate tractors was
to tie a string / rope on a heavy bolt, rock or
hitch pin and carry it with us. If we questioned
a slope, hold the sting to the highest part of the
tractor (except the exaust pipe), if it fell to
the ground outside the wheel print of the tractor
( the rectangle or triangle a rope around the
tires on the gorund would create ) you were
pushing the limits. Time to back off.

The only time my sister rolled a tractor we did
some figuring and the line was 2' outside the safe
zone. Yes, she was more or a daredevil than I
was.
