Check the injectors and the ring end gap. My cousins 720 burned alot of oil and upon tear down we were baffled as all looked good. Then we checked the oil ring end gap. WOW ! Looked like someone put std. rings in this .125 over bore. Found alot of other problems along the way but didn't have to spend much on the block or head.
And contrary to the rumors here a properly running 720 diesel WILL NOT SLOBBER if not worked. They won't even smoke ! Mine gets no work anymore and when I run it I get no smoke and no slobber and it does make 60 hp on the dyno.
