Yep false pregnancy , about 40 years ago,I had a Collie do that once for a half grown cat. every day I'd come and smack the cat with a paper while it was drinking. It got used to that idea then it would wait till I was in the house and there it would be back to it again. One day I had enough and went out grabbed that cat by the scruff of the neck, next thing I knew somehow it flipped over and all at once I had all 40 needles implanted in my arm, and she had a mouth full of thumb knuckle. OK I thought,--- time for flying lessons, so I threw it across the lawn in a very fast horizontal spinning motion kinda like a furry Frisbee with all fours fully extended. and tail trying to get a sense of balance. just when still off the ground it started to run. and being dizzy couldn't maintain balance for a short time.never worked on the dog again and the dog dried up never again to Mother a cat.
