The Chevy plant in Janesville Wisconsin shut down production for good on Dec. 23rd 2008.
They had a public open house tour 11/10/08 so we took the Chevy back to it's birthplace and took some pictures after the tour. We ordered it on Oct 15th 1965 and Dec. 10th 1965 is when they delivered it to the dealer and we picked it up. 43 years...... where has the time gone ?

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
