Kohler, Onan, and Wisconsin have or do make some great engines. But, there is also a lot of USA built crap. Especially some of aluminum blocked Briggs and Temsumseh engines.
The fact is - this Chinese engine with the ball bearings and cast-iron sleeve along with overhead-valves would be called an Industrial-Commercial engine by Briggs & Stratton.
