Used to be able to buy complete precut hardwood kits for those from the local sawmill. Had some old books here with plans for them, but I don't know where you'd find them online. Called them skidfeeders. Everybody had at least one of'em. All oak, used 2 4x6 skids,16' long. 2x4s across the bottom, then 1xs for a floor. 1xs about 18 inches high for skirt boards. 2x4s in an inverted V shape for the cows to stick their heads in. 1xs to fill in the holes so they couldn't get their heads in the wrong place. 2x4s around the top,one on edge, one laying flat. Hard to draw a picture of it with words.
