: Dustin, there's a problem. What I'm doing is restoring this tractor as a school project. This is my last year in high school and I'm using the computers at the school. I don't have any E-mail address and can't send E-mail out. If you can help me with this information thanks. I'll give you all the information I can think of and maybe we can determine the year. I called Wheel Horse and talked to their technical department, they sent me the manual for the tractor but say they can't tell the exact year. The model on the manual says RJ-35. The tractor is called a Ride Away Junior. It has a steel hood, with a cast weight in the front, weighs about 150 pounds. The gas tank is mounted below the hood. It has Schenuit tires on the front wheels, and B.F. goodrich Silvertown lug tires on the rear. The transmission case has "Pond" casted on it. Inside the cast is the gears with a chain driving the gears. Outside is the belt, it's variable speed depending on the belt tension and how far the lever is pushel forward. The seat is steel with the holes in it. It has a four Horse Clinton engine that is mounted between your legs when you sit on it. It also has a cradle hitch for pulling gang mowers and a cast steering wheel. Overall length is about 3 1/2 - 4 Feet. Height is About 3 feet. The tractor is very small and resembles a toy pedal tractos because of it's size. If you can give me anymore info that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Noticed the Schenuit tires on the front. I used to see alot of these in the early 60's. Where were they made? What happened to the company? We have a Stomil brand of tires that are in the old style tread pattern for old iron.
