when i was little dad made some flower planters for mom out of old tires. he turned them inside out, then scallop cut the tops. never thought much about it. after he passed away, some time later i tried to make some. i havent got a clue how he did it, or what he cut them tires with. i tried turning one inside out. ended up trying the backhoe. never got one to work right. couldnt even cut the dang tire with a sawzall. i know he never had a backhoe or sawzall. gotta be some trick to it.
