Actually, the grain industry sounds exactly like the maple syrup industry here in Vermont. There is a coop to sell to if you can't or don't want to sell it on your own, and they'll buy it in a barrel, and give you bulk price, which is by the pound, and is not a good way to make money. The best way to sell syrup is retail of course, and preferably in tiny overpriced bottles. Some directly sell and deliver their syrup to resturants, while others try setting up websites and signs out in front of their homes to direct sell. Candy companies will also buy direct from the producer.
