Do you store the tractor outside much?
I have found that cables on the linkages will gum up after letting the tractor set outside.
I have gotten wd40 to work into the cable by spraying on the exposed end of cable while someone is working the cable back and forth.
Inother words there is an inch or so of cable exposed when the lever is all the way one way. Just spray a little oil on that part of the cable and the cable will carry the oil back in when it is moved. It takes a while on each cable but it will work.
