Their FAQ page describes (somewhat obliquely) how they gather their data. I found it interesting that they identified several sites including Harbor Freight, Cabelas, and Remington as being frequented by by ytmag'ers. I'd guess that means that those companies are ones that share information with Quantcast. So it is possible that other sites frequented by YT'ers (such as Women's Wear Daily or the ACLU) don't show up in the stats because they don't happen to share data with Quantcast.
