SCOTT, My cousin & i used one of those for about 3 years. i think before i tried to remove the blade, that i would try to lean it up against something sturdy & sharpen the blades with a hand grinder if there is enough blade to sharpen. our experience is that they bog down pretty easy,or the tire would start slipping if you get into heavy grass, or brush & don't really have the rpm,s revved up there. it was a pull type & we bought a tail wheel & hitch off a junked bushhog, & converted it to a 3 point hitch & it worked better for us! hope this helps.
