Well, I sympathize with the farmer. nothing hits my boiling point faster than a bunch of nosy neighbors coming by to tell me "if it was mine I'd" or "if I was doing I would"....etc etc. That p*sses me off in about 1 thousandth of one second. When those with nothing better to do but bother others come by, I just quit work all together. I just cannot work being supervised like that. Sure they probably mean nothing by it but I just can't do it. Perhaps the farmer felt the same way. Had he not been bothered, he may not have missed the sprocket. think about it, it was cold, he was in a hurry, then he was called upon by company. Probably didn't help matters at all.
