Are the two low compression cylinders side by side? Could be a head gasket issue. Beyond that... if it needs major surgery, and you can do the work yourself, you might be jsut as well off doing it yourself.
If you're looking for a used engine I think I'd find one from a truck that worked hard but was well maintained. It seems that all of them around here that were used as grocery getters were nothing but trouble. The ones that had the pis$ run out of them mostly lasted a long time. That's been my observation anyway.
Personally I'd be lookig hard at stuffing a B in there rather than the powerjoke... I always liked Ford trucks, if only they had an engine.
