No, have had no communication with David and what I say is speculation on my part. But I do have a number of friends from the UK, and I know that they would consider many of the statements made on this board to be offensive in the extreme.
People from around the world read this board and occasionally post to it. We have an opportunity to present Americans (and Canadians) as intelligent, fair and reasonable people. Or we can present ourselves as ignorant, narrow-minded bullies who are incapable entertaining the notion that someone else might have a different opinion than us. Clearly, there are some of us who prefer the latter. Their boorish behavior reflects poorly on the rest of us and to our hosts who generously provide this forum.
