I'm pretty sure that the 7775 was still a NH design though I'm not sure of the engine. I beleive the 240-270 were the first 'Deere' designs. The changeover was somewhere in the mid-late 90's. NH's patent on the 'SuperBoom' was issued somewhere around 1970 or shortly therafter and was good for 25 years. The patent was what held Deere back from producing their own.
