Of course there is always the other side of the coin...He didn"t have the time or means to run back to the shed to air up the tire - You ARE bad luck (and/or don"t pay attention when running his equipment) - he doesn"t want you near his equipment and this is his way of telling you. I"d say call it a day and go on your way. Forget billing him - leave with a smile and knowing (thinking) you did all you could.
