I grew up in Minnesota and there were a lot of apple orchards in our area. My brothers and I and a lot of neighbors in the area would pick apples every fall. We thought that it was great because it was extra money and if you worked hard you could do ok. This was back in the sixties. If I needed to make some extra money, I would go back and pick again. I wouldn't be quite so reckless when up on the ladder in the tree though.
