I don't know any thing about your cub wireing but I you just want to get it running, run a wire directly from your hot battery post to the coil. Put a small off and on switch it between the battery and the coil if you want to shut it off. You should be able to find out how to hook up your new switch with a volt - ohm meter, just think about one wire at a time. check and mark the plug from the switch or all switches and terminals. then check and mark the other side one wire at a time from the battery, coil, lights, starter, generator, and ect.
If this mess up your mind draw a large picture of the plug on one side of a sheet of paper and all the terminals on the other and draw the wires as you find where they go with the meter. Give it a shot and let us know how you make out. good luck
