It gets pretty cold, relatively speaking, here in North Florida. 26 degrees yesterday morning. My MF175 runs strong, but has always been a hard starter below 45 degrees. I put a little gas on a rag and hold it near the intake. Is this is bad idea? It's what my kinfolk have always done, hasn't damaged anything yet.
