You may want to consider buying one like I have. I don't know if you could build one much cheaper than what these cost or not. It is built by a welder locally, and he has sold them for about 15 years or so. Lots of them in the surrounding area. I can think of at least 20 of them in a 10 mile radius of me. There is no problem at all with insurance, as they are not homemade. I paid $2200 for mine brand new in 2005. I've heard they are around $3000 now, but that still isn't bad when others are well over 6,000. It has a shed covering like any other brand, and has worked very well for us.
