take the wire loose that goes to the center of the fuel sending unit. turn on the key and then touch this wire to the frame( somewhere to ground it out)the guage should show full tank if it is good.take a voltmeter set on ohms and touch the center of the sender with one probe and touch the other probe to the body of the sender.you should get a reading.if not the sender is bad
