have a Husky, comes apart into 2 pieces, bit more rigid than the Stihl that telescopes inside bottom section
these work great, for nice trim work, cut bottom about 6 inches away from final cut then cut down from top at same spot to remove branch, then with weight off you can do lot better job removing the stub
BUT:
my brother used it on the roof to cut branches overhanging his roof, he almost took 2 story tumble onto the driveway when branch suddenly let loose, branch took out dish TV antenna on the way down
that long pole has plenty of leverage, I pulled something loose in my upper arms that Dr. says is rotator cuff injury
